I’m not close to querying, but it’s always good to get advice about this sort of thing, so I’ll post this link here and come back to it.

The Swivet (Colleen Lindsay, who’s with Fineprint Literary Management) points out one of the most insightful things I’ve heard about query letters: ‘the writer never gets any better than the writing you see in the pitch letter.’

She says another agent told that to her. I would like to sign with that agent, please.
